Empty Waves

Each morning Oliver holds an on deck Yoga Session. Stretch out before your surf, learn new techniques.
Beach BBQ Banquet
Dinner on a private island - this evening is one of the highlights of the trip. After a long day surfing empty ripple walls, the team prepare a dinner on a nearby deserted beach island. We start with some cocktails and canapés, followed by a sit down dinner on the beach. Watch the sunset like Robison Crusoe while partying on the sand like Michael Jordan.
Maldivian Food
The food on our adventures is exceptional. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are full spreads with many options.
Fishing
Fish off the back of the boat for snapper and yellow fin. We often hold informal fishing competitions into the night.

Every week is different and dictated by the wind and swell. The below is an example itinerary and one of the weeks we did in 2022. We spent 2 days at Ying Yangs and then motored back up to Male following the swell.

Day 1 and 2 - Ying Yangs and Petrols
When you arrive in Male you are greeted by a Salty Conspiracy guide. You will then transit to the Central Atolls and board Sea Pleasure. After getting settled and meeting the crew, Taylor and Oliver will take you out for your first surf at Ying Yangs.
A trip favourite. Far enough south to be consistently un-crowded. Petrols is a fast left that forms over a finger reef. Surrounded by islands, you feel like you are surfing in a lake. Ying Yangs is a fun right hander. The outside is an easy roll in take off. The wave peels along the reef until it hits the strangest 90 degree bend and enters the inside section that is fast and hollow. One of Taylor’s favourite waves in the Maldives.
Day 3 - Machines and Sarongs
One of the most fun areas in the Laamu atolls. Fast and hollow point breaks. With multiple reefs and islands all within reach there are right and left options.
Day 4 - Farms
A super fun reef break that has a deep anchorage near by. An easy take off and rarely crowded. We often drop anchor near enough for those not surfing to cheer from the bar.
Day 5 - Mushrooms and F1
Mushrooms is point break heaven. A rippable right hander, great for perfecting cut backs. F1’s is a fast wave forming on the inside (to the right of the picture). Guess how it gets it’s name…..
Day 6 and 7 - Quarters and Nonyas
This reef is usually hit at the start of the first week or the end of the second week. A super fun wave and great for practicing getting that back foot over the fins and creating spray.

Sea Pleasure
A spacious and luxurious 30m live aboard yacht, with 4 types of cabins.
With a maximum of only 12 passengers, we ensure numbers are kept to a minimum so that boat and the lineup doesn't feel crowded.
Private large passenger Tender (dhoni) accompanies the boat as a support vessel and base nearer the point, for water and rest. Surf finished, grab an ice-cold drink and watch the sunset from the 6 Person JacuzziAll rooms beautifully appointed, with air conditioning and on suite.Expansive bar with a wine cellar, beer and cocktails.
Our goal is for you to have the space and waves you need to have the best surf adventure ever. Our boats are not filled to the maximum on purpose.
FAQs
What Level of Surfer is this Adventure for?
This trip is for intermediate surfers and above. You should be able to catch waves by yourself and be comfortable in overhead waves.
Each of the spots have several choices (depending on wind and swell), and we can accommodate both intermediate and experienced surfers.
